Our Roots

I started raising gamebirds in 1989 with a small flock of 2,500 quail and a simple goal: provide dependable, hard‑flying birds for local sportsmen and preserves. Year after year, demand grew, and the number of quail we raised doubled for about four years, pushing us to expand, improve, and invest in better facilities and equipment.

What began as a quail operation has since evolved into a diversified gamebird farm, adding pheasants, and chukars to serve a wide range of hunting preserves and sporting operations. Today, DeWitt’s Game Farm hatches well over a million chicks to include Quail, pheasants and chukars annually as well as raises and sells more than 600,000 mature quail, over 85,000 mature chukars, and around 150,000 mature pheasants annually.
